School meals are provided by Cygnet catering. All meals must be ordered in advance online through their website. You can place your order at any time up until the cut off time of midnight on Sunday – 7 days before the full week in which the meal is to be served. You can order meals for your child for as many days each week as you wish.
The Cygnet website can be accessed by clicking on this link. (Please don’t worry that it says ‘North East Lincolnshire’)
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free healthy school meal. To order your child a free meal you must register for the Cygnet School Meal Service in the same way that junior children need to. When registering for the first time, Cygnet will need to verify that your child is entitled to a free meal from the information they have been provided. Your order can then be placed.
If you are in receipt of certain state benefits, your child may be entitled to a free meal. The school will be very happy to help you apply for these. Application is easy and will let you know whether you are eligible or not – what have you got to lose? If eligible, the school will be given Pupil Premium money that can be used to benefit your child, e.g., extra teaching support, uniform, trips, breakfast club places, music tuition. Taking up the free school meal could save you approximately £400 per child each year, which is the average amount being spent on packed lunches.
"Pupils thrive because the school’s values are exemplified by the staff and governors."
